Vice President and General Manager of KWES-TV NewsWest 9 Josh Young gave a presentation 8 a.m. Feb. 7 on the basics of broadcasting for the communications course “Writing for the Media.” His talk touched on everything from videography to reporting on crime scenes. Young–and his team of reporters–have committed to giving presentations throughout the Spring 2017 semester in COMM 2311 at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. The course is giving students hands-on experience with news studios, newspapers and radio venues including Spanish radio such as Telemundo.
